Mystery Shopping
Good Job for: People who like to get out and go new places. If you have a keen
eye and love paying attention to detail this is a good for you. Each mystery
shop requires you to fill out a survey and submit it along with your credit card
receipt, so you have to be very careful to make sure you have all the info!
Excellent job for couples without children or a mom/dad with one "adult" child.
I say this because almost every restaurant shop will require you to order two
adult meals. So if you have a few little ids you're going to be spending money
instead of *making it.
Bad Job for: If you're never on time, forget appointments or have a large
family. Also, this isn't a good position if you live in an isolated area, don't
have a credit card or plan to "make money". Mystery shopping doesn't "pay", they
just reimburse you fo the cost of your purchases.
Pay Rate: No pay at all, just reimbursement. But all those free meals can add
up!
Time Spent: An average shop will take about 1 ½ hours from start to finish. Then you need to complete your survey and send in credit card receipts or scan them and submit online. So all together plan to invest about 2 - 2 ½ hours for your free meal.
